Complete example. Vertical arm has an acorn finial with cross hatching and a heavily decorated body with alternate panels of punched dots and wavy lines. A raised boss above the balance arm slot has a cast ?cross pattee which is slightly obscured by an engraved saltire with punched dot at the centre. If this is a cross (rather than a fleuret) it shares this feature with the boss on catalogue 11. The balance arm is also heavily decorated with a running pattern of engraved crosses and dots. The coin tray has an engraved saltire enclosing more punched dots.
Height (slightly bent) - 10.1cm. Length of balance arm 9.5cm.
Weight to balance 16.5 grains - used with eighteen grain penny of 1351-1412
