Description:
|
A complete cast copper-alloy crotal bell with iron pellet ('pea-clapper') in situ. The integral suspension loop is sub-rectangular, with an irregularly shaped aperture. The upper half of the bellchamber is decorated with a sunburst design, and the lower half with a fish-scale pattern. There is a V-shaped, or heart-shaped, symbol on each side of the sound slit.
