A copper alloy military cap badge of the County of London Regiment, 17th Battalion. Poplar and Stepney Rifles. Complete with slidder.
Within a laurel wreath a Maltese cross. On the arms of the cross the following (top) SOUTH, (bottom) AFRICA, (left) 1899, (right) 1902. Above the the cross a blank tablet surmounted by an Imperial crown. On the cross a circlet inscribed RIFLE BRIGADE and in the centre a bugle with strings surmounted by an Imperial crown.
