Description:
|
A copper-alloy crotal bell with surviving iron pea-clapper. The suspension loop is of rectangular form with radiused external corners and a sub-circular aperture. The sound holes are of the normal type: circular, two in each cup, the lower pair conjoined by a slit. Both upper and lower cups are decorated with a sunburst pattern. On one side of the lower cup there is a moulded bellfounder's hammer symbol in a shield.
