Description:
|
A medieval strap clasp with a decorative moulding on the outer edge. The moulding is probably a very devolved human head, as the clasp appears to be a variation of the relatively common ’king’s head’ type of the 14th century. The exact purpose and method of fixing of these clasps is uncertain.
