Description:
|
William I penny, two stars type, Hertford.
This would appear to be the first recorded coin of BMC Type V struck by Theodric at Hertford. The moneyer is recorded at this mint striking in BMC Type IV (possibly from a single cut halfpenny) and Type VIII, so a Type V coin is not unexpected. The moneyer also struck coins of BMC Type I under William II.
