A fragment of a rowel spur, consisting of the neck and rowel box and a short length of one side. There is a flat, circular moulding where the neck joins the heel, and the base of the neck itself consists of an oval moulding and two collars of unequal width. The slotted rowel box is tapered and turned downwards, with lobed ends to accommodate the holes for the rowel pin. One of the holes is broken open and the pin and rowel are missing.
