An incomplete amphora-shaped military strap end of the late Roman period. The attachment end is cusped along the top edge and retains the two copper-alloy rivets that secured it to the strap. The handles are intact forming kidney-shaped apertures at the neck. Decoration is on the front face only and consists of a large central ring-and-dot motif surrounded by a circle of eight smaller ones, one on the neck, and one on each handle. The terminal end is damaged and the tip is missing.
