A copper-alloy seal-box lid of the Roman period.

The lid is piriform, with an incomplete hinge lug at the larger end, and a rounded knop at the smaller end. The top of the lid has four recesses, which originally contained enamel. Three of these are at the larger end, and consist of a central circular recess, with two concentric annular recesses around it. The fourth recess, at the smaller end, is sub-triangular. No enamel survives.
