There are two possibilities for the maker of this watchwinder. They appear to be Father and son.

John Robert Jefferies was born circa 1829 in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire. In 1859, he married Fanny Bond in Biggleswade. In 1881, John was recorded as a watchmaker and jeweller living in Market Square, Biggleswade. By 1891, John and Fanny had moved to Skegness, Lincolnshire, where John was again recorded as a jeweller. In 1901, they were still there. John died in 1907, aged 79.
