Description:		A medieval horseshoe of Clark Type 4, Sparkes 'Guildhall' type (see refs. below). It has an arched inner edge and six countersunk rectangular nail holes, two with T-shaped nails in situ. One branch has a right-angled calkin, the other has a thickened heel. The profile is concave, and there is no sign of fullering. The size and weight suggest that it was probably made for a saddle-horse.
