Communion Token, Scotland https://www.ukdfd.co.uk/v46/coins/tokens-jetons-and-medalets/communion-tokens/communion-token-scotland-48936.html Fri, 04 Sep 2015 00:00:00 GMT Communion tokens Communion Token, Scotland
Description: An unattributed Scottish communion token. It is cast in lead and rectangular in shape. The obverse has the letter T in a plain circle, all within a raised rectangular border. It was found in the same location as UKDFD 40028, which has a similar letter T, but within a heart-shaped recess.

The communion tokens illustrated by Alexander Brook (Scottish Church Tokens) that most closely resemble the present one are those for Turriff in Aberdeenshire. However, the findspot is well over 100 miles away from this location, so any connection seems unlikely.
