Description:		An Edward IV Irish penny of the heavy 'Cross and Pellets' coinage, tentatively attributed to Waterford. The attribution to Waterford is solely on the basis of the (apparently unique) reverse type, which has a saltire in two of the reverse angles, as well as the usual three pellets. At the time (2017) of writing the 5th edition of his work, Irish Hammered Pennies of Edward IV - Henry VII, Jasper Burns (see References below) knew of only two examples of this coin.

Description:		Edward IV Irish penny of Dublin. Light 'Cross and Pellets' coinage.  The obverse has what appears to be an additional pellet above the centre of the crown. However, on close examination this 'pellet', unlike those by the neck, has a ragged edge and is not perfectly formed. It is therefore more likely to be due to a die flaw or damage than an intentional mark. The UKDFD is grateful to Jasper Burns for examining the image and commenting as above.
