A complete small flint core dating from the late Mesolithic 6,300-4,300 BC to early Neolithic period 4,500-3,500 BC. In plan, the core is oval and in section it is pointed sub-oval. The core has many blade removals of various sizes. Opposite the butt end there is a natural fault within the flint, which probably resulted in the core being discarded. There is one very small patch of cortex remaining to one edge. The core is a milky /grey; silky smooth with a less siliceous patch below the butt end. FLO Comment: A discoidal or keeled core. Mid grey to dark grey flint with a mid gloss patina. A large flake or nodule fragment which has been knapped from the edges resulting in a sub discoidal core with an irregular bi-conical profile. There are numerous broad flaking scars over both faces and the margin is thinned to a sharp edge. Date Neolithic.

A complete flint fabricator. Made using a thick primary flake very dark grey to black highly siliceous flint which retains an area of nodule cortex on the dorsal face. The striking platform and bulb of percussion have been partially ground out and there are areas of polish and grinding on all surfaces, often removing the flake scar ridges. The finger-shaped fabricator has a profile which is triangular at the distal end and changes to D-shaped at the proximal end. There are remnants of large scale abrupt retouch along the long edges, worked from the ventral face. Fabricators have a wide date range, but the polish evident on this example suggests it is more likely to be Neolithic to early Bronze Age.

A flint Tranchet Axe described by the PAS as follows:

An incomplete flint axe. A large tranchet axe of the later Mesolithic. The cutting edge part and of the body of the axe remains, the butt having been broken of in antiquity. It is made from pale mid grey and grey brown flint with less siliceous patches and bands. It is patinated to a matt, pale grey colour with some iron staining. There are numerous flaking scars on all surfaces, with several transverse flakes removed from one edge and resulting in an off-centre ridge along the length of the axe. The body of the axe has an irregular cross-section which, as the axe is shaped and thinned towards the cutting edge, becomes lenticular. The cutting edge has been formed by a "tranchet" or transverse flake from one face.

The butt end is rounded, the opposing distal end is wedge-shaped and appears to be extremely well-worn in comparison to the rest of the surface . The function of the implement would probably be a rubbing, grinding, or polishing stone, the butt end could double up as a pestle. The lack of a completely polished surface would suggest a working tool rather than a ceremonial one.
