Celtic uninscribed gold quarter stater, attributed by Van Arsdell to the Atrebates and dated 50-45 BC. Although stylistically the coins are close to the issues of the Atrebates, most have been found north of the Thames.

Note
The coin is recorded on the CCI as a VA 260-1 (Mack 76A) type, which is described by Van Arsdell as being of silver. The CCI comments that this is an error made by Mack and repeated by Van Arsdell. However, Van Arsdell notes that his 260-1 is a silver version of 222-1, so arguably the attribution should be made to that type. The distinction between the two is the geographic distribution mentioned above.
